Citizens' Crime Watch
Citizens’ Crime Watch is a nonprofit county-wide crime prevention program funded by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, grants and donations. When neighborhood watch is fully operative, you and your neighbors become the “Eyes and Ears” of local police department, telephoning the police at the first hint of suspicious activity.
Citizens' Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, FL will bring crime watchers and law enforcement together from all over South Florida at their 38th Annual Awards Ceremony on October 4, 2013. They will come together to celebrate and honor those that have helped keep their neighborhoods crime free and who have improved their quality of life by implementing Neighborhood Watch in their area.
Crime watchers will have the opportunity not only to recognize their officers’ efforts but they will also meet their command staff. We will recognize crime watchers nominated by their police officers. We are extremely thankful to Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz for being our Honorary Chairman for this event, and thank former Chairman Joe Martinez for all the years he supported this event. We are honored to have as our Keynote Speaker Miami-Dade Police Department Director JD Patterson, and our Master of Ceremony Brian Andrews from CBS Channel 4 news reporter once again.
As a non-profit, we truly depend on the support of the community.
